Changsha Intelligent Driving Institute Ltd (CiDi) is a venture capital backed private company that develops core innovations required to bring smart transport to fruition. Our vision is to become an integral supplier in sensor fusion, perception, decision, planning and control algorithms, V2V/V2X networks, and energy harvesting – technologies central to intelligent driving and safe autonomous logistic trucks. Our initial focus is on inter-city semi-trucks and related products and services. With access to a 200+acre urban autonomous vehicle testing ground and 135,000 sq foot research facility, CiDi is based in Changsha, the capital city of Hunan province, China, and harnesses the full power of the region's automotive expertise, industrial supply chain, and human capital. CiDi was founded in October 2017, by HKUST robotics professor and entrepreneur Li Zexiang, and supported by leading venture capital funds. Our customers include automotive parts manufacturers, truck manufacturers, logistics companies, and smart road operators.
