EquBot provides an easy-to-use and explainable AI platform to help global investment professionals deliver better outcomes. The platform can create or analyze portfolios by leveraging its proprietary machine learning algorithms and knowledge graph, as well as IBM Watson’s natural language processing. This allows investors to not only keep up with, but also to thrive in an increasingly complex world of data. EquBot was started at UC Berkeley and is an IBM Global Entrepreneur and “With Watson” company. The EquBot platform understands the financial markets by reading and analyzing millions of traditional (e.g. financial statements) and non-traditional (e.g. news articles) data sources each day. With Watson, the EquBot platform is able to build intuition, experience, and to continuously learn as headlines break and new information becomes available.
