Gridhound was founded as a spin-off from the ACS Institute at RWTH Aachen University. The company has developed a simple, inexpensive solution for monitoring and controlling distribution networks. The aim is to promote the conversion of “normal networks” to “smart grids”. For this purpose, the existing challenges of the distribution network operators, such as the feed-in of distributed renewable energy, are solved with smart data processing methods.
