Cochlear.ai was founded in Seoul in 2017 by colleagues from Music and Audio Research Group, Seoul National University. Our mission is to create a machine listening system that can understand any kind of sounds because the hearing ability of modern AI systems is too limited to speech recognition while it is only a small part of audio cognition. We know that it is not an easy short-term goal, but we believe that it is a necessary technology for the next generation of AI which will improve the quality of our daily lives.
